Alec and William are the co-founders of Red Maple LifeSciences, a startup out of Brown University focused on developing wound care technologies for infection management and accelerated healing. Alec recently completed his PhD in Biomedical Engineering at Brown, where his research focused on wound infections, biomaterials, and smart therapeutic systems. William brings experience in medical device product development, commercialization strategy, and regulatory pathways in the medtech industry.
They were recently accepted into the National Science Foundation (NSF) I-Corps program, where they are conducting customer discovery interviews with clinicians, researchers, and industry leaders across wound care and infectious disease, with support from PAWSIC co-founder Julie Rhodovi.
