We are a patient-centered inter-professional team that serves the post-acute care community as the source and voice to guide in quality wound and skin prevention and management, through collaborative evidence-based education, practice, and advocacy.
We believe quality skin and wound care should be available to everyone. That means shifting away from the institutional-centric, wound-focused approach toward a patient-centric framework that addresses the complexity of the whole person and what matters most to them. Our committees and shared interest groups lead the initiatives that drive change across the post-acute continuum.

What is PAWSIC?
PAWSIC, the Post Acute Wound & Skin Integrity Council, is a 501(c)(6) nonprofit professional council. We provide continuing education, an annual conference, and a professional community for clinicians who deliver wound care and skin health in post-acute settings such as skilled nursing, long-term care, home health, and rehabilitation.
